AquaGo PigmentPro
Description
AquaGo PigmentPro is a concentrated carotenoid feed additive formulated to support desirable pigmentation and coloration in shrimp, salmonids, ornamental fish, and marine fish. It combines natural astaxanthin, canthaxanthin, and lutein to provide complementary carotenoid nutrition for flesh, skin, body, and exoskeleton coloration.
Astaxanthin is widely used in salmonid nutrition to support desirable flesh pigmentation, while carotenoids such as canthaxanthin and lutein can contribute to pigmentation in different aquatic species. The effectiveness and resulting coloration depend on species, genetics, life stage, feed composition, feeding duration, health status, and environmental conditions.
AquaGo PigmentPro is designed to complement balanced aquaculture diets where consistent and commercially desirable pigmentation is an important part of product quality and market presentation.
Advantages
- Supports desirable flesh pigmentation in salmonids
- Supports skin and body coloration in ornamental and marine fish
- Supports exoskeleton coloration in shrimp
- Provides complementary carotenoid nutrition
- Supports consistent pigmentation when used in an appropriate feeding program
- Helps maintain commercially desirable coloration
- Provides multiple carotenoid sources for species-specific pigmentation programs
- Supports nutritional management of natural coloration
- Suitable for shrimp, salmonids, ornamental fish, and selected marine species
Usage
0.5–2 kg per metric ton of complete feed.
The appropriate inclusion rate should be selected according to species, life stage, desired pigmentation level, feed composition, feeding duration, and production objectives.
Cautions
- Use as part of a complete and balanced aquaculture feed.
- Mix thoroughly and uniformly throughout the feed.
- Protect the product from moisture, heat, oxygen, and direct sunlight.
- Carotenoids are sensitive to oxidation and should be handled and stored appropriately.
- Pigmentation response varies according to species, genetics, age, health, diet, feeding period, and environmental conditions.
- Account for other carotenoid sources in the complete diet.
- Do not exceed the recommended inclusion rate without professional nutritional assessment.
- Follow applicable feed regulations and species-specific requirements in the target market.
